  • Chinook Jargon and How to Use it - This site is dedicated to the Chinook Jargon. Chinook Jargon is an old Indian Trading Language used to talk to English Traders. This particular site is scan of a book published in 1909 by George C. Shaw. It shows you how to use the language.
  • Fort Yamhill - Site has a small amount of information about Fort Yamhill - a blockhouse from this place sits in the Dayton Park.
  • Kalapuyan Indian Information - This site have information about the Indians of this area - the larger group known as the Kalapuyan's of which the Yamhill Indians were a tribe.
  • Linfield College History: "Bricks Without Straw" - Bricks without straw : the story of Linfield College / by Jonas A. Jonasson. This book on the history of Linfield College was published in 1938. This book is available for check out by McMinnville residents.
  • Linfield Historical Monument - The Linfield College Historical MonumentĀ is located near Melrose and Riley Halls in the academic quad on the McMinnville campus. The monument is a bronzed etched reproduction of a 1922 college newspaper announcing the re-naming of McMinnville College to Linfield College in honor of the Rev. George Fisher Linfield. The bronzed newspaper is inset in locally quarried basalt stone that was specially cut and sandblasted for this project. The monument was designed and created by Ezra Koch and Ruben Contreras, Jr. It highlights the pioneer history and Christian values of the historically Baptist college. It was presented by the last three surviving members of the class of 1922.
  • Oregon Pioneers - A site related to the Pioneers. This site includes lists of names of pioneers.
  • Yamhill County Historical Photos - A web site dedicated to local historic photos. This is a must-see website. The photos on this site are put in several categories: 1. Joe Dancer's Historic McMinnville Photographs 2. Historical Photographs of cities: Amity, Carlton, Dayton, Dundee, Lafayette, Newberg, McMinnville, Sheridan, Willamina, Yamhill 3. Other photographs: Farming, Logging, People, Schools, Roads and Highways, Other Places of Interest, and Railroads. The site is co-sponsored by the Yamhill County Board of Commissioners and the Yamhill County Historical Society and was created and is maintained by Yamhill County Surveyor Dan Linscheid.
