MCMINNVILLE TRANSIENT CAUGHT BURGLARIZING A RESIDENTIAL GARAGE

McMinnville Police Officers responded to a report of a prowler inside the garage of a home in the 200 Block of SW Braly Street. McMinnville Officers arrived almost immediately and began checking for the suspect. The suspect was located hiding underneath a van parked inside the garage. The suspect had moved several tools and items of value from where they were being stored in anticipation of stealing them from the garage. He was aso found to be in possession of methamphetamine when he was arrested.

The suspect was identified as Leroy Louis Crum, 38, a McMinnville transient.

Crum was lodged in the Yamhill County Correctional Facility pending arraignment in Yamhill County Circuit Court on the following charges:

1st Degree Burglary - A Felony $20,000 SRA
Possession of Methamphetamine - C Felony $5,000 SRA
Attempted Theft in the 2nd Degree - B Misdemeanor $2,500 SRA
Theft in the 3rd Degree - C Misdemeanor $2,500 SRA
